Supplies needed:
Card base measuring 4 3/4" x 9 1/2" scored at 4 3/4" in Soft Sea Foam card stock
Matte layer measuring 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" in Old Olive card stock
Second matte layer measuring 4" x 4" in Very Vanilla card stock
Scrap of Very Vanilla for sentiment
Second piece of Very Vanilla measuring 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" for the inside
Inks: Seaside Spray, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive, Garden Green
Stamp Set: Forever Fern Bundle
To begin with, I stamped one of the leaf stamps directly onto the Very Vanilla matte layer in Soft Sea Foam ink to create a background wreath pattern.
I then went and stamped quite a few leaf sprigs in the other challenge colours. To add interest and depth to my project, I also stamped some in second generation ink. I stamped the other large leaf sprig in Seaside Spray and in Old Olive ink, first and second generation. The smaller sprig was stamped in Garden Green ink, first and second generation. I also did a couple in the Seaside Spray ink just in case. These were die cut using the co-ordinating dies. I finished up having a lot more than I needed but I will save these for a future project.
Using the stamped sprigs as a guide, I went and arranged five larger die cuts in a circle to form a wreath then filled in the spaces with the smaller sprigs using Tombow liquid glue to adhere it all down to allow me time to get everything in the right place before it dried completely. You could also use foam dimensionals if you felt it needed extra height.
TIP: Only apply glue to the centre of each die cut. This allows you to easily lift and place die cut pieces underneath.
Once the wreath was completed, I then went and glued this whole section onto the piece of Old Olive card stock which was then glued onto my card front. I used the "Hello" stamp from the same stamp set and stamped this onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock, trimmed it down and, using foam adhesive strips, attached it to the front of my card - I used two strips to give it stability. You could also use regular dimentionals for this.
To finish off, I stamped the second piece of Very Vanilla card stock with one of the larger leaf stamps using Soft Sea Foam ink and adhered this to the inside of my card.
