Clean and Simple Project featuring Stitched Leaves Dies

Hello and welcome!

Today I'm sharing a card I created for The Spot Creative Challenge #132. I have a wonderful friend who is on the Design Team and she's been asking me for a while to give it a go. My card features the Stitched Leaves Dies and uses the Plaid Tidings 6x6 Designer Series Paper. A full list of products is below.

Supplies Needed:
  • Dies: Stitched Leaves, Celebration Labels
  • Greenery Embossing Folders
  • Cardstock: Cinnamon Cider, Whisper White, Brushed Metallic 12 x 12 Cardstock
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP):  Plaid Tidings
  • Linen Thread, Gold Metallic Trim (from Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack)
  • Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Magnetic Platform
  • Adhesives:  Tombow Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
I began by embossing one side of my Cinnamon Cider card base with the sprig design embossing folder from the Greenery Embossing Folder duo pack. Next I went and die cut the second to smallest label from the Celebration Labels Dies from a co-ordinating piece of Plaid Tidings DSP. Taking the Stitched Leaves Dies, I went and die cut two of the larger leaves from the gold toned Bbrushed Metallic Cardstock then used the accent dies to create stitched veins on each of the leaves. This completed all of my die cutting.

To create the front of my card, I placed the die cut label towards the bottom left of my card and stuck this down using dimensionals.  Then I arranged each leaf and stuck them down, again using dimensionals.  Finally, using a strand each of the gold trim and linen thread, I created a bow and stuck this down on my leaves using glue dots.

To complete my card, I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and glued a strip of the same DSP onto it and attached this on the inside with Tombow.

All products used to create this card are available to purchase in my online store here.  If you like my card, I would love you to tell me and if there are any questions, please leave them in the comment section below.
