01 December 2020

Hi everyone and thanks for popping in!

With Christmas just around the corner I want to show you a quick and easy way to create your very own hand-made Christmas cards using the Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin Kit which is available while stocks last.  The kit is all inclusive and comes with instructions on how to assemble eight cards - four cards each of two designs. It's especially great for those time poor creators and I can see myself ordering a couple of these kits next week for my last minute cards.

I used this kit in my class last week.  I split the kit into two so each attendee got to make four cards and then we also made a small gift box to keep them in.  The attendees could make 2 x 2 of the same design or I had alternative designs that they could also copy using the products in their kits.

NB:   To use this kit, you will need a acrylic stamping block or something similar to use with your stamps.

Supplies Needed:

  • Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin Kit (N - D 2020 Special Release)
  • Cardstock:  Whisper White Thick, Cherry Cobbler, Window Sheets  (2020-2021 Annual Catalogue)
  • Celebration Labels Dies (A - D 2020 Mini Catalogue)
  • Jingle Bells( A - D 2020 Mini Catalogue)
All supplies for these projects can be found in my Online Store here or alternatively through the Store tab above.

These first two cards show the cards made up using the instructions which come with the kit:

These next cards are the alternatives that my class could put together, if they chose to.  I added in the Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the small Jingle Bell.  The red paper you see here in the inside lining of the envelopes which I have opened up and trimmed down.  The three cards here used one envelope so you will need an extra envelope for your fourth card if you choose to make these.

Everyone also made a co-ordinating gift box to store them in. The base is a basic box measuring 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 1" on all four sides.
The sliding lid uses a piece of cardstock measuring 6 1/2" x 11 5/8" and scored at 1/2", 1 9/16", 6 1/16 and 7 1/8".  I used the third largest die from the Celebration Labels Dies to cut a window then placed a piece of Window Sheet behind to make a see-through window.  As an alternative, you could also use a piece of co-ordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The box could also be used to hold a gift for someone special at Christmas once you use your cards.

Thank you so much taking the time to drop in.  If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section below.

Take care, stay safe and have a great day!
