Colour INKspiration Challenge #102 - Featuring Artistically Inked Bundle from Stampin' Up!

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome, and thanks for popping in!

Colour INKspirations Challenge #102 is now open over on our Colour INKspiration Challenge Facebook Page and will go for three weeks.  The photo for this challenge was picked by fellow Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman and our Guest Designer this Challenge is the very talented Deette Beynon.

The card I'm showing today was created using the Artistically Inked Bundle. The stamps featured in this set are Distinktive images which allows a wonderfully stamped image with lots of details.  The co-ordinating dies have both detailed die cuts as well as dies that cut most of the stamped images. This is a beautiful Bundle and one I will enjoy using time and time again.

Supplies Needed:
  • Bundle:  Artistically Inked (2021-22 AC)
  •  Embossing Folder:  Textured Paint 3D (2021-22 AC)
  • Cardstock:  Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Basic White Thick, Basic White Regular, Vellum
  • Blend Pens:  Polished Pink Combo Pack
  • Ink:  Polished Pink
  • Ribbon/Trim:  White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Artistically Inked Ephemera Pack (sequins)
  • Embellishments:  Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack
  • Adhesives:  Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals - Regular and Mini, Tear & Tape, Adhesive Sheets (optional)
  • Tools:  Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Acrylic Blocks, Stamparatus (optional)
  • Other:  Diggers 100% Isopropyl Cleaning Alcohol

Card Assembly:

Cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock 1/8" smaller on two sides than your card front and emboss this with the Textured Paint 3D Embossing Folder

Take a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock  measuring the same width but a little shorter than the Basic Gray.  Using the detailed leaf die, die cut across the width.  You will need to make a cut at the top where shown.

Place Dimensionals on the back of this especially in the areas around the leaves.  It's a bit fiddly buy very necessary.

Using the corner of my Stamparatus as a guide, I placed the embossed piece of Basic Gray cardstock on the bottom then took the die cut piece of Smoky Slate and placed it on top.

Create a background on Vellum with the Polished Pink Blends Combo pack and isopropyl alcohol.

Attach this face down to a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I used Tombow Liquid Glue but another great option would be adhesive sheets.

Die cut the leaf die from this.

An alternative would be to use Polished Pink cardstock if you didn't want to mess about with alcohol and Blends on the Vellum.  Personally, I love the variation this technique gives to my die cut.

Adhere this piece on the bottom layer.

I used Tombow Liquid Glue but the Adhesive Sheets would work as well.  If doing it this way, just be warned that once it's down, it's down.  Personally I prefer Tombow for that little bit of wriggle time you get to put things in place.

Take a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and colour with the Polished Pink Blend Pen Combo Pack.  It will dry pretty much immediately.

Loop it at both ends and adhere with Tear n Tape.

Attach to your card front with Dimensionals on the 'Birthday' end and Tombow glue on the 'Happy' end because there's a height difference.

Attach this to your card base with Tombow glue.  I was quite generous because the cardstock was embossed.

Add some sequins from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack and your card is finished!
