Colour INKspiration Challenge #107 feat. Merriest Moments Bundle

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome, and thanks for popping in!

Colour INKspirations Challenge #107 is now live over on our Colour INKspiration Challenge Facebook Page.  The photo for this challenge was picked by fellow Crew Member, Cheryll Miller and our Guest Designer this challenge is the super talented Christine Versluis.

My project this week is something a little different.  Rather than a card, I have created a framed 6" x 6" wreath using the challenge colours and by using second and even third generation stamping with the stronger colours, I managed to add to my colour palette.  I've also added Gold which is within the Challenge rules.  The backgound paper comes from Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) set and fits the brief perfectly.

 Supplies Needed:

  • Bundle: Merriest Moments
  • Dies: Forever Flourishing (you could easily swap this for any other smaller leaf die you have in your collection)
  • DSP: Blackberry Beauty Specialty Papers
  • Cardstock/Vellum: Basic White, Gold 12" x 12" Shimmer Vellum
  • Inks: So Saffron, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Mossy Meadow
  • Embellishments: Simple Elegant Trim (gold), Metalic Pearls (gold), Bumble Bee Trinkets
  • Adhesive:  Dimensionals, Glue Dots
  • Tools:  Cut & Emboss Machine, Bone Folder
  • OTHER:  Shadow Box Frame to fit a 6" x 6" project.

How To Assemble:

Stamp the larger fern-like image in first generation Mossy Meadow.
Use a Bone Folder to add shape and dimension to the leaves.

Stamp the mistletoe-like image in second and third generation Mossy Meadow.
Use a Bone Folder to add shape and dimension to the leaves.

Stamp the smallest holly-like image in first and second Blackberry Bliss.
Use a your fingers to add shape and dimension to the leaves.

Stamp the middle-sized holly-like image in first and second generation Rich Razzleberry.
Use your fingers to add shape and dimension to the leaves.

Stamp the smallest poinsettia-like image in So Saffron.

Add three gold Metalic Pearls to the centre of each flower.
Use a Bone Folder to shape the petals.

Die cut small accent pieces from Forever Flourishing in Gold Shimmer Vellum.

Cut a piece of co-ordinating DSP measuring 6" x 6".
Arrange the largest leaf image in a rough circle.
TIP: Use a pencil and a light hand and draw around a round shape if you want to be precise.
Adhere these in place with a Mini Glue Dot at the stem and add a Dimensional in the centre. This will help keep the leaves raised.

Arrange all the die cuts and adhere using Mini Glue Dots under the ends and add Dimensionals under the middle of the larger images where you want to keep them raised.
Add in a twisted loop of gold from the Simply Elegant Trim.
Adhere two flower images over the gold trim and the third in the opposite corner.
Add a little single Bumble Bee Trinket for added interest.

Your project is now ready to be framed.
