Old World Charm Stamped One Sheet Wonder - Colour INKspiration Challenge #137

Today I'm sharing a project I've created for Colour INKspiration Challenge #137.  Our inspiration picture was chosen by our amazing Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman and features the colours Polished Pink, Balmy Blue, Orchid Oasis and Evening Evergreen.  Our Guest Designer for this Challenge is the gorgeous Rochelle Laird-Smith.  I can't wait to see what everyone has created.

My project is a stamped one-sheet-wonder stamped in Evening Evergreen ink then coloured with a Blender Pen using three of the Challenge Colours.  Balmy Blue was added by stamping the distressed font image from Queen Bee Stamp Set.  Lastly, 'dottage' was added in Polished Pink and Orchid Oasis using the stamp from Forever Fern.

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets:  Decorative Borders, Queen Bee, Forever Fern
• Inks:  Polished Pink, Balmy Blue, Orchid Oasis, Evening Evergreen
• Cardstock:  Basic White
• Tools:  Blender Pen
• Larger Clear Block (to use as a palette)

Once my stamping was done, I trimmed one end to make two pieces of cardstock 7.2mm x 10.2mm (2 7/8" x 4").  I chose this size to make the most out of our A4 cardstock - you'll be able to get 8 mat layers by using this size and there is enough to make six more cards using the same dimensions.

I made two birthday cards from these pieces after matting my stamping onto Polished Pink cardstock. The card base in Gray Granite cardstock with an added piece of the same colour embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder which adds to the old-world feel of the stamping.

The sentiment was stamped in Polish Pink then die-cut with the label die from the Queen Bee Dies.  Polished Pink ink was added to the edge to spotlight the sentiment.  Linen Thread was wrapped around twice and tied.  The sentiment attached over the top with Dimensionals.

• Tools:  Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
