Hey There Little Bird - Colour INKspiration Challenge #158

Hello and welcome!  And thanks for stopping by!

Today I'm sharing a card for Colour INKspiration Challenge #158. The photo for this challenge was chosen by Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman and is a beautiful capture of a section of the coastline near Perth in Western Australia. Our Guest Designer is the wonderful Sinzis Corner and I can't wait to go and see what everyone has created.

Poor old Blueberry Bushel seemed to be a little out of place with the other three softer colours but without it, I wouldn't have been able to create what I did.  My card features a number of different products, some new, some old but it's all combined so well.  Firstly, I've used two different Die sets and combined them with two lots of FREE Designer Papers along with some ink and stencils.

Flight & Airy 12 x 12 Designer Papers

Softly Stippled 12 x 12 Designer Papers

This story begins with one of the two FREE Designer Paper Packs which are part of this year's Sale-A-Bration offer.  These papers are able to be earned free with a $90 (before postage), to get both you will need to place a $180 order.   The little bird was fussy cut from the Flight & Airy Papers and then attached to a scalloped rectangle using Mini Dimensionals, die-cut from the Scalloped Contours Dies.  Colour was added to the scalloped rectangle using the Foursquare Masks and Blueberry Bushel ink.

A small 'branch' was made by twisting a small 1/4" strip of Petal Pink cardstock and then attached under the bird using Mini Glue Dots.

A card base was created using Pool Party cardstock.  Mat layers in Petal Pink and the Pool Party 'Linen' design from the Softly Stippled Papers (the second Sale-A-Bration papers) were trimmed to measure 1/4" less on two sides than the card front and these were glued to the card front at jaunty angles.

The large floral arrangement from Artistic Dies was die-cut in Fresh Freesia cardstock and placed on the lower section of the card.

The scalloped rectangle was attached to the card front with Dimensionals with a little Tombow Liquid Glue added to each Dimensional and used to secure the die-cut to the card front.

Iridescent Pearls and a double bow was added to finish off the front.

A piece of Basic White cardstock matted onto a piece of Petal Pink along with a smaller fussy cut bird glued in the bottom corner was adhered to the inside of the card to complete the card.
