Heartfelt Wishes feat. Layers Of Beauty Bundle - Colour INKspiration Challenge #169

Welcome and thanks for popping in!

Colour INKspiration Challenge #169 has launched over on Facebook and for this Challenge we have been given a colour palette I simply adore!  The inspiration photo was chosen by fellow Crew member Cathy Pinchbeck and our Guest Designer is the lovely Patricia Leferink.  I can't wait to go and see what everyone has created and be inspired by all the projects.

My card is a clean and simple(ish) design with a vintage feel and features the Layers Of Beauty Bundle. I absolutely loved creating with these colours and I didn't hold back.  There is something really classic about blues/beiges/creams.

I stamped the full image of the large floral stamp from Layers of Beauty Stamp Set in Night Of Navy ink onto Basic Beige cardstock and die cut a section featuring the largest rose using the second-to-largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  Using a Blending Brush, I gently applied Basic Beige ink to all four sides and layered onto a piece of Mistly Moonlight cardstock.

The same image was stamped a second time again using Night Of Navy ink onto Basic Beige cardstock and this time using the masks that are part of the Bundle, the largest and smallest roses were coloured starting with Misty Moonlight, adding Blueberry Bushel and lastly Night Of Navy. Both flowers were fussy cut and coloured the edges of both flowers with a the Ivory Stampin' Blend to create a light shadow.

These were attached with Dimensionals, layering the large flowers together as a starting point. The second flower and die cut leaves were also glued to add in extra dimension and texture.  This was then attached to the card front with Dimensionals

Two flag-end labels were cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies, one from a sheet from Country Lace Papers and one from a sheet from Country Woods Papers - you could easily use cardstock in the different blues but I loved the look and texture of the paper.  These were cut in half and added to each side under the square. By continuing the angle they were on, it looks like they are still one piece underneath.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed in white which was then fussy cut, splitting it in two so it was better able to fit.

To finish the front, three iridescent pearls were added under the focal piece.

For the inside, I stamped the smaller floral image from the same stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink onto a piece of Basic Beige cut smaller than the size of the card front and matted this onto a piece of Misty Moonlight and glued this to the middle of the card.
