Dino Wishes - Colour INKspiration Challenge #182

There's a new challenge just kicked off over on Colour INKspiration Challenge and today I'm sharing my project.  The inspiration photo for Challenge #182 has been chosen by  fellow Crew Member, Cathy Pinchbeck and our Guest Designer is the super talented Sandra Strobel.   I can't wait to go and see what everyone has created and if you are inspired by the colours and my project, please do join us over in the Colour INKspiration Challenges Facebook Group with your own project.  There are more details below on how you go about it.

Having these five lovely colours certainly gave me lots of options and for something different I've  chosen to feature the Darling Dinos Bundle which is part of the January - April 2025 Mini Catalogue. 

To begin,  I wanted to create my own custom strip of colour as part of the background. I created my own 'smoothing tool' by placing a scrunched up piece of paper towel into a small, clear plastic bag and tying off the top.  This was used to create lines of each of the Challenge colours on a half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  A piece with all five colours was trimmed and glued to the lower section of a piece of Basic White card stock dry embossed using the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder.  A sentiment was stamped onto a narrower strip of Basic White card stock using Gray Granite ink and glued onto the smooshed piece.

A circle was die-cut from the Around It All Dies and Pretty In Pink ink gently applied with a Blending Brush to create a soft background.  This was glued to the front of the card.   I stamped the dinosaur image onto Basic White card stock using Gray Granite ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends. I die-cut the image and attached it to the card front using Mini Dimensionals.  The same was done with the party hat image, then fussy cut and also attached with Mini Dimensionals.

To finish of the front, I added a few embellishments using the Blooming Pearls.

To complete my card, I added a smaller strip trimmed from the smooshed card stock to the middle of the card.

• Tools:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Specialty Plate, Paper Trimmer, Blending Brushes
• Adhesives:  Tombow Multipurpose Glue, Mini Dimensionals
• Other :  Smooshing Tool (scrunched paper towel tied inside a small plastic bag)
